Displaying data in Excel spreadsheets in graph form makes the data more presentable and appealing to a targeted audience. PlusX Excel is an add-in for Microsoft Excel that allows you to create dynamic charts that update as you modify your data.
The handy utility makes it easy to generate different types of charts that highlight numeric data in a more engaging manner. Once you install the small setup file, you will see a PlusX menu when you launch Excel. The special menu gives you access to the add-ins various features.
The menu features buttons for generating five different types of charts intuitively. These include Double Donut, BubbleX, Mirror, Gant and Waterfall charts. Whichever type of chart you use, you will see it refresh whenever you update the data table, ensuring that it always reflects the latest updates.
Different types of charts are better suited for different kinds of data. For instance, a Gant graph is ideal for presenting project progress while Double Donut is suitable for displaying long reports.
In addition to the chart buttons, the PlusX menu contains some shortcuts that prove useful for normal use of the Excel program, which are grouped under Xtras. A banner on the right part of the PlusX menu allows you to follow live Forex rate updates for your country, featuring both bid and ask prices. You can remove the banner if you do not want it.
If you’re using any version of Excel from 2007 to 2010, you will also benefit from an internal web browser under the Info category, which includes things like tips, fix, about and PXB.
Note: This download supports Excel 2007-2010. PlusX Excel Add-In for Excel 2013 is available from the developer’s website.
