Download and install the free video editor following the prompts. Once the installation has completed, click the ‘Start Now’ button which launches the user interface.

There are buttons for New Project, Open Project, and Movie Templates in a panel to the left of the main window where, at launch, your Project Library displays. At the top right, you’ll find tools to show thumbnails and details of a given project and to search for a file.

Clicking the ‘Movie Templates’ button will bring up the templates screen. In addition to theme buttons, there is a Search bar and, at the bottom left, the ‘Full- Feature Mode’ button which launches the main interface. The toolbar at the top provides buttons for Media, Transitions, Effects, Text, Motion (pan and zoom), Templates, Export, and the File Menu.

The preview window, complete with player controls, is to the right of the import area for your media. Timelines for media, music, and text are located in the lower half of the window with editing tools – Undo, Redo, Delete, Split/Trim and Speed (speed up, slow down or reverse) control buttons, and a Zoom to Fit Timeline slider in a toolbar above them.
