Downloaded and installed, DRPU Video Cropper launches to a simple, easy to navigate, and highly comprehensive user interface. Editing options for the video you select are at the left, and the selected video, where you can adjust the cropping dimensions, and an output preview are at the right.

The input video selection is the first section in the left-hand panel. A ‘Show Video Properties’ button enables file information – duration, size, and resolution – to be displayed. Next, you use the radio buttons to select Crop or Resize.

Your editing options are located in the next section, and are selected using the tabs at the top of the section:

• Crop provides Width and Height for the selected Aspect Ration dropdown.
• Orientation enables selection of horizontal or vertical flip, and left, right, or 180-degree rotation
• Effect/Filters include grayscale, sepia, vintage, glow, bright, light, dark, strong, vibrance, invert color, and negative.
• Audio Options are keeping the original sound or muting it, or you can browse for an audio file.
• The Output tab enables you to select Quality and Format in drop-down menus, and to change the frame rate if you wish. You also select the output location here.

You have a Start Process button and a Reset button on each screen. The progress bar beneath the two buttons displays the time taken and the frames processed. A pop-up window lets you know when the video has been fully processed and displays the path to its location. You can select to play it from this pop-up.

DRPU Video Cropper enables anybody to trim a video without losing quality. In addition to being able to crop videos, the free application enables you to use a range of editing options and to rotate videos with the option to save your edited video to either the original format or to one of your choice. The software is compatible with all recent versions of Windows.
