Download and execute the program and login/setup your Ashampoo account to obtain a free activation key. During setup, you will have the option of unchecking the add desktop icon and/or add the program to Windows startup features.

Once installed and launched, Ashampoo Taskbar Customizer will by default immediately make the existing taskbar invisible, leaving the program icons, time and date, etc. clearly visible and ready for use in their usual positions at the top, bottom or side of your desktop.

Right-click the program’s icon to use the context menu. Menu items are Default, Translucent, Custom, and Settings. You can also access a checkbox to ‘Startup with Windows’ and an option to change the language here.

Opening Settings will take you to a color wheel where you can select a color and choose its opacity level. A checkbox enables you to see a live preview so that you can create a color that works with your background to your complete satisfaction.
